Bartolomeo and Domenico Guidobono
Bartolomeo Guidobono (Savona 1654 - Turin 1709) and his younger brother Domenico (Savona (1668 - Naples 1709) learned the art of painting and drawing from their father Giovanni Antonio, majolica painter from Savona. After joining the Church seminar, at the end of his studies Bartolomeo developed his career as a painter and became a well-known and appreciated artist, both for his frescoes and canvas, thanks to the elegance and grace of his delicate and sensual figures.
His intense artistic activity, which lasted approximately three decades, was often conducted in cooperation with his brother Domenico and took place in Savona, in Genoa, with Domenico Piola as a mentor, and at the Court of the Savoia.
