Palazzo Saluzzo Paesana
Masterpiece of Gian Giacomo Plantery, Palazzo Saluzzo Paesana has been defined as "the vastest and most complex example of a XVIII Century noble building".
Delimited by four roads and close to a square, the Palazzo's main entrance is not located on Via Garibaldi, one of the main avenues of ancient Turin, but on the perpendicular road, Via della Consolata, which runs along the former Roman city walls.
The main facades, rich in ornaments, are opposed to the external walls facing the Piazza: not decorated, severe and sober, in line with the historical nature of the Via, which once ended at the Military Headquarters from Juvarra.
